So I Wrote A Thing.... And recorded it for Sketchtopia! I'm pretty proud of it! I premiered it at the Mikey O Entonces Storytelling Show.. Then cleaned it up and shortened it for the Sketchtopia Premieres July 9th - 12th Weekend... I'm excited to continue my work with the Artist Development Program that is primarily for playwrights with disabilities but open for everyone. This is the very group that nurtured me while I wrote my first play "The Nuyorican" and where I started writing "For the Love of Autism" play.

FUERTE 10 week bootcamp
Saturday, April 21st, 2018, at 10:30 a.m.
"I asked Tamika to teach our FUERTE young Latinas how to craft their stories so that they can begin to show up powerful and strong, yet vulnerable when needed. I watched Tamika weave her life story in a manner that captivated their attention, moved them to tears and then she blew them away with her grit and perseverance when life handed her impossible times. The powerpoint she created really aligned with how we are teaching the girls to tell their stories, we all learned so much that day. Tamika, you have to come back again next year, our girls need to hear your story. Thank you for your vulnerability and mostly for your GRIT."
